The ElSohly Award Presented by the Cannabis Chemistry Subdivision (CANN) Announces 2025 Winners

I was honored to be named one of the 2025 ElSohly Award winners presented by the ACS Cannabis Chemistry Subdivision, an award recognizing outstanding contributions in cannabis science. My research focused on demonstrating evidence of pre-use polymer leaching from hemp-derived vaporizer hardware, where I provided analytical data showing how PCTT from the tank materials can migrate even before use. This work highlights a critical safety issue in vape devices and underscores the need for stricter material standards and quality control in the industry
